We met several years ago through friends, even worked together at one point, but it wasn’t until we ran into each other randomly one fine day that we finally began dating. |
| How was the proposal? |
We were vacationing in the Outer Banks and decided to take one last stroll on the beach before we left the next day. He asked me to sit in front of the ocean with him, made a sand ring, and said, “I don’t have much to offer you but would you marry me with this?” and I said, “Yes!” Then he pulled out the real ring from his pocket and said, “Well, then if you said yes to my sand ring, I’m sure you’ll have no problem saying yes to this!” Well, I had no problems. (And he was wrong when he said he didn’t have much to offer!) |
